Astron GPS Solar Dual-Time Chronograph. Extending the legacy of the Seiko Astron, the world’s first commercially available quartz watch, today’s Astron is designed for a new generation of leaders to break through to a new future with excellence in both innovation and style. Combining solid tailoring with the highest degree of accuracy possible in a wristwatch, this exceptional timepiece is equipped with Seiko’s 5X83 caliber, offering both high-speed GPS dual time and time zone adjustment to 39 time zones and a chronograph function that measures elapsed time in 1/20th second increments. The movement also features an AM/PM indicator, daylight saving time function, power save function, perpetual day/date calendar correct to the year 2100, and a time transfer function that allows the user to switch the main time and dual time indications with the push of a button, all powered by light energy with no battery change required. Framed by a titanium bezel with a black ceramic tachymeter insert, and topped with dual curved sapphire crystal with super-clear coating, the black dial displays a distinct texture, made possible by improved charging efficiency of the solar cell, providing an outstanding contrast to the subdials. In addition to the four subdials, laid out vertically for a sporty look, a first for Seiko Astron, the dial includes a date calendar and LumiBrite hands and markers. Crafted of light and durable titanium with super-hard coating, this superb timepiece has a contemporary feel thanks to the sleek lines, slim profile, and the compact and angular design that seamlessly flows from the case to the bracelet and includes a secure screwdown caseback and tri-fold push button release clasp with Smart Adjuster function. 10 bar, 100M Water Resistant.
